Ronald Abe Wedel

Ronald “Ronnie” Abe Wedel age 87 of Enid passed away March 4, 2024 in The Commons. Ronnie was born January 15, 1937 in Enid to Roy A. and Winifred N. (Parker) Wedel. He grew up in Enid graduating from Enid High School in 1955. He received his Associated degree from Northern Oklahoma Jr. College. He held the high school record in long jump for many years. His love for basketball included Enid High, NOJC at Tonkawa and Semi-Pro for Prince Electric. Ronnie’s love of sports included track, baseball and basketball. He entered the U.S. Army on March 15, 1959 and was honorably discharged on September 14, 1959. He later served in the Army Reserves.

Ronnie owned and operated WeeToo Restaurant for many years before selling it to his son Derek.

He was a member Central Christian Church.

He is survived by his children; Pamela Jones, Derek Wedel, Ronnie Wedel, Aaron Wedel, sister Sharon Oxford and husband Neil of Enid and brother Roy Wedel and special friend Judy Doerfler and seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Winnie Wedel, Abe Anderson, Jr. and his son Randy Wedel.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.

Ronnie’s request was to be cremated and have no service. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
