A Celebration of Life service for Landon D. McGhghy, age 48, of Enid will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Jarrod Cloud, and Dan Barrick officiating. Graveside will be in the Moore Cemetery at 3:00 pm under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Landon was born February 4, 1976 in Columbia, Missouri to Larry Dean McGhghy and Helen Loretta Robertson and passed away suddenly on Friday, March 1, 2024 in Integris Bass Baptist Hospital. He attended and graduated from Del City High School in 1995, he then received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mortuary Science from University of Central Oklahoma in December of 1999. He became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer on January 13, 2000.
Landon married Donna Litney on August 18, 1994 and she passed away July 29, 2006. He married Rana Lane on October 19, 2007. He later married Elizabeth White on December 13, 2014 in Moore, OK.
Landon began his career in the funeral industry at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home and then worked at Hahn Cook Street and Draper Funeral Home, Fallon Mortuary Service, John Ireland Funeral Home, Ferguson Funeral Home and came to Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory on April 20, 2020. His love for the funeral industry showed in every family that he was able to help through the loss of their loved one. Landon was a genuine loving and caring person. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ, which showed in all walks of his life.
He attended the Enid First Assembly of God; he enjoyed reading, bowling, going on cruises, and spending time with his family.
Landon is survived by his wife Elizabeth; daughters, Emily and husband “Topher” Fatur and grandson A.J. Page, and Hailey McGhghy; mother Loretta Allensworth; sister Laura and husband Anthony Gibbs and nephews Michael Thompson, Tyler Springer, Levi Gibbs and niece Lauran Gibbs; uncles Mike and wife Kathy Robertson and Steve Robertson and aunt Iris Elliot and husband Phil.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be made to Enid First Assembly of God Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
