Funeral service for Moonene Blaser will be Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor David Reber officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
Moonene Blaser was born August 20, 1935 in Enid, Oklahoma to Albert and Sylvia (Helberg) Alwert of Fairmont, Oklahoma. She passed away into heaven on November 5, 2023.
She was raised in Fairmont, Oklahoma, where she attended school and graduated from Garber High School. Moonene married Lester Edwin Blaser on June 28, 1953. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone as a draftsman for 3 years. Then she became a loving mother of Gary, Karla and Robin. Later on she worked for NODA Engineering as a draftsman. Moonene loved painting with oil paints, camping, jeeping, traveling, sewing and being a loving wife and mother is what made her so special. She volunteered and gave blood at the Oklahoma Blood Bank for years. She always dressed dolls for Children Awareness at Enid courthouse lawn. Moonene was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Moonene is survived by son, Gary Blaser and wife Robin; daughter, Karla Jezek and husband, Mike; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 on the way, Cory and Kristi Blaser and their children, Gracie and Charlee, Chase and Kayla Blaser and their children, Brody, Eleanor, and Eliza, Preston and Lauren Jezek and their children, Penelope and Phoenix, Jordan and Danielle Black, Hans and Brianna Bibilonia, Glen and Abby Ritter and their children, Decon, Ruby, Garrett; very special person of her life for the last 14 years, Dean Walton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Blaser; daughter, Robin Garrison; parents, Sylvia and Delbert Alwert; brother, Robert Alwert and wife, Loretta; brother, Don Alwert; brother, Kent Alwert and wife Hazel.
