Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Grant

January 30, 1954 - October 13, 2023

Mary Kathleen “Kathy” Langham was born on January 30, 1954 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Donald J. and Margaret Merrick Langham and passed to her heavenly home in Enid on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the age of 69 years. Kathy was the only girl in a family with three brothers. Don worked for Phillips Petroleum and the family moved to Borger, Texas and ultimately Aetna, Kansas in 1970. Kathy graduated from Hardtner High School in 1972 and married Rocky Grant in Wichita, Kansas in 1973. They raised three sons, Brandon, Bryan and Chris in Hardtner. Once the boys were older, Kathy entered college at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva and graduated in 1999. The family moved to Enid and Kathy started her teaching career at Pioneer Schools. Senora Grant taught Spanish classes, was the cheerleading sponsor, academic coach, student council sponsor and a junior class sponsor for several years. She was a faithful member of Garriott Road Church of Christ. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Don Langham and brother Jimmy Langham, mother and father-in-law Bud and Dixie Grant, brother-in-law Buddy Grant and nephew Brady Langham.

She is survived by her spouse of nearly 50 years Rocky Grant, son Brandon Grant, son Bryan and wife Kelley Grant all of Enid, son Chris and wife Solana Grant of Wichita, Kansas, grandchildren Grayson Grant of Enid and Bristol and Ian Grant of Wichita, as well as all of her Pioneer students and faculty.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation— MS division.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time in Hardtner, Kansas. Cremation arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.
