The graveside service for Peggie L. Davis, 84 year-old Enid resident is 10:00AM Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the Mausoleum of the Memorial Park Cemetery. Under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.
Peggie was born February 22, 1939 in Enid to Elmer and Hazel (Hasbrook) Franke and died Saturday, June 10, 2023 in Golden Oaks Village. She attended local schools and graduated with the class of 1957. On September 22, 1957 she married Richard Davis. As Richard was in the Army the lived in Germany for a year and a half, before retunring to Enid to live and raise their family.
Peggie first began working for a credit bureau for several years before going to work in 1964 for First National Bank. After over twenty years, she retired from the bank as Vice-President of mortgage lending. After leaving the bank, she continued to work in various capacities for Phillips Seminary, Phillips University, Dick McKnight, and Willow View Methodist Church.
She loved to paint, research family genealogy, spending summers at the lake, and going to sporting events with Richard.
She is survived by her husband Richard of the home, Son Randy Davis and wife Theresa of Enid and daughter Cheryl and husband Tim Young all of Enid. Three grandchildren; Shannon, Becky, and Tanner, four great-grandchildren; Colby, Katelynn, Warren, and Zepplin. One brother, Nate Franke and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Walt and Loren, and one sister Maida.
