Harry John Cohlmia, Jr.

Mass of Christian Burial for Harry John Cohlmia, Jr., 71 of Kremlin, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023, at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Harry was born May 19, 1951 to Harry and Louise Razook Cohlmia and passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, in Enid with family and close friends by his side.

He grew up in Enid, graduating from Enid High School in 1970. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1971-1977.

Harry married Dorothy Bischoff his high school sweetheart in 1971. He later married Mary in 1976, who passed away in childbirth with their infant son. In 1978, he married Paula Miller and they made their home in Enid.

Harry was a maintenance man at multiple facilities around Enid and finished his last fourteen years at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church.

He received his Arts Degree from Rose State College.

Harry loved the 1960 rock band The Beatles. Music was his life and in 1967, five boys, Harry Cohlmia, Dale Grauberger, Gene Mooney, Bob Williams, Mark Van Schuyver and later Mike Mash started a band called “Haymarket Riot”. They recorded a forty-five record titled “Trip on Out” / “Something Else”. They were managed by Ronnie Kay, WKY Radio, and appeared regularly on the tv dance show “The Scene”, on channel 4, WKY.

He played with Jim Hill and Marty Kaiser and other band members from the late 70’s to mid 80’s in bands like, “Contagious”, “Stayin Alive” and “Maynard Hill”, just to name a few.

Harry is survived by two sons, Brian Cohlmia and wife Julie of Edmond and Jeremy Cohlmia of Enid.

Memorials may be made to Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
