The funeral service for Maida J. Cokeley will be 10:00 A.M Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Henninger~Hinson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Lillie and Pastor Les Nikkel officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Maida was born April 9, 1932 in Enid to Elmer and Hazel (Hasbrook) Franke and passed away January 3, 2017.
Maida attended local area schools and graduated from Enid High. She married Donald Lee Cokeley July 15, 1950 in Enid making it their home until 1969 when they moved North of Salt Plains Lake. Maida was a longtime member of Vining Community Church and the Jet Extension Club. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and water skiing. She also enjoyed pet sitting her grand dogs, but most loved taking trips with her grandkids.
Maida is survived by her son, Larry Cokeley and his wife, Janet of Pond Creek; granddaughters, Jenna Spencer and her husband, Wesley of Enid; Laura Deterding and her husband, Thomas of Carrier; brothers, Loren and Nate Franke; sister, Peggy Davis and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Walter Franke.
Memorials may be made to Golden Oaks Village with the Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.
