ENID, OK – A large crowd turned out for the first indoor Candy Cane Cash Drawing for a chance at winning part of $15,000 in cash prizes. Thursday evening brought a great holiday surprise to seven lucky winners. For the first time ever the event was held at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center.

Doors opened early as vendors setup tables and passed out free goodies and information. Santa was on hand for pictures and there was plenty of holiday music.

Frank Baker and April Danahy entertained the throng of shoppers as tickets were pulled from the huge hopper. Enid High baseball players helped spin the tickets as Miss NOC Enid reached in for the winning numbers.
–
Surprisingly there were very few tickets pulled that did not have a winner and the main event went quickly. The $500 winners were Pat McDonald and Delores Moore. $1,000 winners went to Misty Brinker and Kelli Schovanec.
–
The big winners of the day were Kelli Miller with $2,000, Denise Czapansky with a $2,500 ticket from Jumbo and the grand prize winner of $7,500 going to Louretta Stevens, who also had a winning ticket from Jumbo.

Candy Cane Cash is an annual event designed to encourage shoppers to shop local. Participating stores hand out tickets for every $10 spent at their business. Shoppers collected tickets beginning in October all the way through December 14.
–
Second chance drawings will occur at both Jumbo Foods, Save-A-Lot locations and Evens Drug Center. Ticket-holder’s should write their name and phone number on the back of their tickets and drop them at any one of the locations. Drawings will take place throughout December.
