ENID, Okla. – Congratulations to the 2017 graduating class of Enid High School! You will now be a part of a long lasting legacy that goes back to 1911 and you’ll be a Plainsman for the rest of your life. As a 1981 graduate I remember the day I wore the blue cap and gown like it was yesterday.

Graduation will take place at D. Bruce Selby Stadium at 7:30pm on Thursday, May 25. Enid Buzz will be taking photos and posting them here soon with more info on the ceremony.

The 54 year old advice I have for the class of 2017 is as follows:
–
1. Travel as much as possible before getting that "career".

2. Meet as many new people as you are able. Make new friends.

3. Stay connected to your old friends. They're the ones that brung ya.
–
4. It's never too early to start your own business, even on the side.
–
5. Floss. Exercise. Don’t smoke. Wear sunscreen. Eat mildly healthy.
–
6. Don’t throw your old box of stuff away. Put it in the attic.
–
7. It's never as bad as you think and it will always get better. It just does.
–
8. 50 is not old. You've got time but don't waste it.
–
9. You're just getting started so live a long, full life. Be happy in what you do.
