ENID, OK - Another large crowd braved the cold weather on the court house lawn for a chance at winning part of $15,000 in cash prizes. Saturday morning brought a great holiday surprise to seven lucky winners.

Frank Baker and April Danahy entertained the throng of shoppers as tickets were pulled from the huge hopper. Enid High football players helped spin the tickets as guest pickers reached in for the winning numbers.

The first six drawings drew no winners for the $500 prize. But once the winning started it moved along pretty quickly. The $500 winners were Olivia Felber and Jennifer Jackson. $1,000 winners went to Cindy Detrick and Jennifer Wilson.

The big winners of the day were Ginny Umstead with $2,000, Barbara Finley with a $2,500 ticket and the grand prize winner of $7,500 going to Graciela Ala Torre. Torre received the winning ticket from Pearson's Natural Food Center.

Candy Cane Cash is an annual event designed to encourage shoppers to shop local. Participating stores hand out tickets for every $10 spent at their business. Shoppers collected tickets beginning in October all the way through December 8.

Second chance drawings will occur at both Jumbo Foods and Save-A-Lot locations. Ticket-holder's should write their name and phone number on the back of their tickets and drop them at any one of the locations. Drawings will take place throughout December.
