Funeral service for David Meyer, age 53, of Enid, will be 10:00AM, Friday, March 10, 2017, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jerald Bushman and Rev. Tom Pullin officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 at the funeral home.
David was born August 10, 1963 in Oklahoma City to Dave and Beatrice Meyer, and passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017, at his home in Enid.
David grew up in Tyrone, Missouri, and he moved to Enid in 1980. He was married to Melinda Hanshew and to that marriage they had two kids, Dusty and Marcie. David worked in the oilfield for many years at RiteWay. He later married Beth Groves. David enjoyed watching OU, Dallas Cowboys and Nascar. He loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially attending activites for Chelsey, Garrett, Jacob, and Taylor.
David is survived by his wife Beth; children Dusty Meyer, Marcie Sierra, husband Scott, and step kids, Katie Martin, Landon Martin and wife Brooke, Lacy Meyer, and Zackery Meyer; mother Bea Meyer; brother Richard Meyer; sister Jana Rickards; 2 grandchildren McKinley and Kason; nieces; nephews; and several other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Dave Meyer.
Memorials can be made out to Beth Meyer for Lacy and Zackery through the funeral home.
