ALERT: The Friday Indian Taco Fundraiser is canceled this year due to illness.

ENID, OK - Join the city of Enid to celebrate the town's 1893 founding at the annual Cherokee Strip Celebration September 17, 2022. Bring a lawn chair or blanket on Saturday, September 17 at 10:30am to watch the streets fill up with fire trucks, horses, floats, cars, marching bands and the traditional Longhorn steers for the downtown parade.

The parade traditionally begins on S. Grand and Maine near Garfield Furniture and makes its way north on Grand to Randolph. The parade route then turns west on Randolph where it passes in front of the announcer and judges stand near the courthouse lawn gazebo. Parade participants then turn south onto Independence and continue to Maine where the parade ends.

After the parade, take a stroll around the downtown square, which will be transformed into an arts and crafts paradise. Drawing people from all over the surrounding area and beyond, the Cherokee Strip Celebration is a major event that will have you and your family jumping from one exciting activity to the next.
