ENID, Okla. - The public auction for the Autry Tech construction house is coming up May 18 at 6 p.m. This is what the construction technology program works toward all year. The home is located on the campus of Autry Technology Center, 1201 W. Willow.

From start to finish the construction is a group effort made up of many students. For example, the drafting students created a floor plan and rendition of the house and HVAC students installed the heating and air system. Each building phase is inspected by the City Code Office.

The students build the house from the ground up, and the school auctions it off at the end of the year. If a high school student attends Autry for a full two-year program, he or she will have participated in the construction of two houses before graduation.
